Among the decorated utilitarian pieces, the chuas, deep plates, painted with various motifs inside with green and ochre colors on a light background and glazed finish. They are the only survivors of the old viceroyalty earthenware. They retain the same chromatic range, shape and some simplified designs from those times, all of which are vividly reminiscent of the ceramics from the region of Teruel, Spain. Two ornamental motifs abound, the fish from Lake Titicaca, called the suche and beautiful bulls designed in profile, both combined with vegetal motifs.
