The figure shows the infant standing with one leg bent, in an attitude of blessing with the right hand raised, while the left hand is held relaxed downwards. The body is represented naked, covered only by a simple cloth of real cloth. The face has rosy cheeks, thin lips and almond-shaped eyes, conveying gentleness and serenity. The hair is modeled in defined curls that fall towards the forehead. The polychrome still preserves vivid shades in the skin, despite the natural wear of time. It is the type of images that were traditionally used in domestic altars, oratories or nativity scenes during the baroque and colonial times.
